In July, I was lucky enough to be able to second shoot for Leela Bennett (leelabennettphotography.co.uk) whose work I really love. Fiona and Steve’s wedding was such a beautiful one and I was so thrilled I got to be a part of it. It all started at Upper Court in Kemerton, Gloucestershire, where the bridal party got ready, and was also the reception venue. It was a stunning location, with a number of cottages, a lake and beautiful landscapes on the estate.
Fiona and Steve were such a fun, adorable and lovely couple. It was so clear to see how in love they were, and I’m very thankful to them and to Leela for letting me be a part of it!

That morning, Steve received a surprise present from Fiona of one of their teddy bears which had a custom made suit to match his, done especially for the wedding, which was really sweet. Then Fiona (who was in the middle of finishing off her own wedding cake!) also received a surprise gift from Steve which were earrings that matched her engagement ring. They were such an adorable couple!

Their wedding ceremony was held at St Benet’s Church which was a short walk from Upper Court. It was a beautiful service as the ceremony was carried out by members of Steve’s family, one of whom actually resides in Watford and carried out my daughter’s Holy Communion lessons! Small world! Unfortunately half way through the ceremony, the electricity cut out, but it didn’t disrupt the service, although a couple of the guests had to pump the organ so the organist (also a part of Steve’s family) could continue to play! Members of Fiona’s family also sung a song and one of their friend’s played the violin.

After the ceremony was over, we walked back to the reception venue where the guests were treated to an English tea party with a game of croquet.

The reception continued in a marquee later that afternoon for their meal and speeches, before a jazz band played to get everybody up and dancing.
